Air polishing uses compressed air to spray powder and water on the tooth surface to remove surface substances such as plaque. The air polisher can achieve significant scaling effects in the occlusal surface, adjacent surfaces, around orthodontic brackets, and other difficult-to-clean areas. It is comfortable for the patient and does not scratch the tooth surface.
