This certified course has been officially registered with Radiation Health departments in Queensland, Western Australia, and Tasmania. It qualifies participants to register for laser use and/or complete the required laser safety training to be present or provide support during laser procedures, in compliance with AS/NZS 4173:2018.
Developed and delivered by Dr Lan Tran (BDS), the program is tailored to equip dental professionals with foundational knowledge in laser science and safety, covering all laser types—not just Waterlase. It explains how laser energy is produced, how it interacts with tissue, and the practical safety considerations required in clinical use.
Participants will also explore clinical applications of dental lasers in both hard and soft tissue procedures, with a focus on safety, efficacy, and integrating laser technology into real-world dentistry.
Course Outcomes
